Pulp fiction refers to a genre of racy, action-based stories published in cheaply printed magazines from around 1900 to the 1950s, mostly in the United States. If you haven't noticed, the cover art for these stories are wild. Generally they are overly dramatic but there is a certain lost romanticism that is lost on today's more subdued and minimalist book covers. These eye-catching and often time busy covers make for absolutely enthralling jigsaw puzzles. It gets its name from the paper it was printed on. Magazines and books featuring such stories were typically published using cheap, ragged-edged paper made from wood pulp. These magazines were sometimes called pulps. The more you know... Pulp fiction created a breeding ground for new and exciting genres. Though the heyday of pulp fiction magazines has passed, their eye-catching covers and dramatic, fast-paced, and simple stories have left behind a legacy that can be seen in today's movies, TV, books, and comics featuring action heroes and over-the-top villains. We think these intriguing covers make for excellent Jigsaw puzzle material and if you're looking for a quick story packed with adventure, we highly recommend checking out Ron E. Howard's Conan books. They differ quite a bit from the movies but the stylized writing and heart pumping pace is really an experience all in on its own. Sitting down with one of these jigsaw puzzles feels like a wild adventure lost on today's modern audiences. We didn't think it would be possible to have such a heart pumping, relaxing experience but these puzzles are just that.
